Whirlpool direct-drive washer parts: the three things that actually fail

Most Kenmore 110-series machines and most Maytag top-loaders built after 2006 are the same Whirlpool direct-drive underneath. That platform fails in three predictable places, and all three are parts you can buy for less than the price of a service call.
